Hydrogeologic Feature Analysis of Tuoweileke Coalfield in Southern Margin of Yili Basin
Abstract
Through the analysis of Yinan’s data about coal drilling, logging, combinations of aquifer and characteristics of outcrops, the distribution of Tuoweileke coalfield’s aquifer and aquiclude is discerned. The aquifer can be divided into two major categories: Cenozoic Quaternary or Neogene aquifer and interlayer fissure pore confined water aquifer in Mesozoic Jurassic. Nine levels can be recognized by aquicludein which the 1, 4, 5 and 9 layer shave the strong and stable property. Confined water in the top and floor of the seam, surface water and water in Quaternary are the three main direct or indirect filling sources of the coal water. According to the analysis of sandstone thickness contour map, we think that the sandstone watery is the best in the central. The research provides a scientific basis for coalfield groundwater exploration and reasonable development, and has important significance for the correct evaluation of the southern margin of Yili Basin, exploitation and use of groundwater resources.
