Derivation and Difference Analysis of Dry and Wet Transfer Coefficient of six between GB6 and GB5
Abstract
The GB6 draft of heavy duty engines has been introduced, expected to formally implement in 2020. In the study of the GB6 draft, it was found that the difference of emission calculation between the GB6 standard and the GB5 standard was great. In order to better understand the GB6 standard and compare with the GB5 standard, the derivation of wet and dry conversion in the GB6 standard and GB5 standard was conducted. The results showed that the wet and dry conversion formula of the GB5 standard is only applicable to the diesel engines, and it is not applicable to the natural gas engines. The wet and dry conversion in the GB6 standard takes into account the actual process of dehumidification of the sample gas. The impact of the update of test equipment on the emissions calculation was also considered.
