Abstract

To reduce the solidified waste volume of unit quantity nuclear waste, the investigation on modified cement solidified material(MCSM) for radioactive incineration ash (RIA) was carried out. The results show that: the joint modified optimization by metakaolin, fly ash, zeolite, vermiculite and polymer emulsion powder can significantly improve the solidification of nuclide ions of MCSM. The nuclear waste capacity of RIA is raise from the current 20% wt to 40% wt. The mechanical properties and leaching rate of Cs+ and Sr2+ meet the requirements of GB 14569·1-2011. The 42nd leaching rate of transuranium nuclides <1.0×10-6cm·d-1, and cumulative leaching fraction <3.40×10-4cm when solidify real RIA by MCSM.
