Design of a Low-cost Eye-movement-controlled Wheelchair Based on Near Infrared Light Sensor and Arduino
Abstract
This paper presents a design of eye-controlling wheelchair system. The system select near infrared light(NIR) sensor to detect the eye’s movement which get a high accuracy, moreover, the Arduino is adopted to control the wheel, which make the system’s cost is quite low. At the same time, an easy but accurate algorithm is adopted in this paper, so the system is easy to implement. Through large amounts of experiments, the system has been proved accurate as well as valid, it shows that the system has a high accuracy, an easy algorithm and a low expense. This allows the system to be marketed.
