Evaluation of a Wearable System for Healthcare
Abstract
This paper presents a wellness wear system for monitoring users’ heart rate and activity level. The circuit module installed in the wellness wear is wirelessly interfaced with a mobile device for real time data visualization, processing, storage and additional communication. A user study was carried out with 10 subjects walking on a treadmill. Suitable information and enjoyable exercise are found to significantly contribute to the user acceptance of the system.
