A New Hybrid Method for Numerical Simulation of Combined Conductive-Radiative Heat Transfer in Participating Medium
Abstract
This paper presents a new hybrid method for combined conductive-radiative heat transfer in two-dimensional enclosures. The participating medium is radiatively absorbing, emitting, scattering and gray. The radiative transport equation is solved by the discrete ordinate method, while the energy equation is solved by the dual reciprocity boundary element method. The various influencing factors i.e., radiation-conduction parameter, surface emissivity and single scattering albedo are investigated to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the present method.
