Design of Series-fed Ridged-waveguide Slot Antenna Array for Ka-band
Abstract
An 8×7-element series-fed ridged-waveguide slot antenna array in Ka-band is proposed in this paper. The design of weighted slot offset and unequal ridgedwaveguide power-divider is applied to decrease side-lobe level. Impedance matching and radiation performance are well designed. The simulated bandwidth for VSWR lower than 1.5 of the 8×7-element array is 7.2%, and 25.4dBi gain and 15.3dB first side-lobe level are obtained at the design frequency. Results obtained based on the proposed analysis can be used in the design of high gain and low sidelobe antenna.
