Study of Graph-to-data Transformation
Abstract
The purpose of graph-to-data transformation is to convert graphs into data and equations. Graphs drawn manually or obtained through recorders or cameras can be scanned into a computer directly or transmitted and stored within this computer through data line. Then the following treatment proceeds: loading the original graph(BMP)→denoising→smoothing and sharpening→gradation→binarization→refining→extracting curve skeleton→capturing curve coordinates. Finally the coordinates needed for digital analysis are gathered, which will be processed by specialized data-to-image transformation software to reconstruct the original graphs, for the purpose of accurate restoration and optimization of graphs.
