Sentimental Corpus Construction of Chinese Online Reviews
Abstract
With the emergence of the new economy based on social media, a great amount of consumer feedback on particular products are conveyed through wide-spreading product online reviews, making sentiment analysis a growing interest for both academia and industry. Corpus construction of product online reviews based on manual sentiment annotation is an important prerequisite of sentiment analysis. This paper introduces the process of constructing sentimental corpus, and discusses several basic questions which included the data collection, annotation criterion, annotation approach and quality monitoring. The tagging work of the first phase is basically completed and the sentimental corpus of mobile phone online review is primarily constructed, which lays the foundation for text sentiment calculating and reasoning.
