A Method for Large-Scale IPTV Quality Estimation

Abstract


Estimating the Quality of Large-Scale IPTV service is becoming difficult for internet service providers (ISPs), most ISPs have collected massive network operation data but such data seems have no matter with IPTV quality. In this paper, we demonstrated that the network data is significantly related with QoE (Quality of Experience) and proposed a data-mining based method for IPTV QoE estimation. The result of experiment based on real data set shows the accuracy and validity of our evaluation method.
