Development Status and Prospect of Energy Storage Technology under the Background of Power System Reform

Abstract


Energy storage technology can solve the problem of renewable energy integration, and it is considered to be the cornerstone of energy transition from fossil energy to renewable energy. Energy storage methods can be mainly divided into physical energy storage, chemical energy storage and other energy storage. After more than 10 years development, China’s energy storage industry now is in an important transition progress from demonstration application to commercialization. With increasing attention of government and society, rapid development of energy storage industry will become inevitable.
