Abstract

Graphene oxide (GO) modified Ag3PO4 nanoparticles with highly visible light photocatalytic activities were prepared by a facile chemisorption method. The resulting GO/Ag3PO4 composite photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS). The enhanced photocatalytic activities were mainly ascribed to the strong conductivity of graphene, which led to an improved separation efficiency of electron-hole pairs. The highefficient hybrid photocatalysts are expected to show considerable potential applications in wastewater treatment and water splitting.
