Research on the Problem of Urban Community-based Elderly Care Service under the Background of Aging Population - The Case Study of G City

Abstract

For tackle the problem of increasing severe aging population, city G started the pilot of Family-Care in communities from 2005, and it has initially formed the pattern of Family-Care in communities with government-directed and standardized operation through the development of the past ten years. However, it still exists some deficiencies. The paper has found the aging population in the G city showing the characteristics of fast, deep level and large amount through analysis of the current situation of aging population and community aged service in G. Although community aged service has obtained some achievements, it also presented the problem of service personnel shortages, low resource utilization rate, short social awareness. To optimize community aged service in G, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions based on the above research, in order to provide scientific decision-making support for the relevant management department.
