Study on the Ultimate Strain of High-Strength Concrete Confined with High-Strength Stirrups

Abstract


High-strength stirrups confinement could improve the deformation behavior of concrete member effectively. In this paper, the equations for calculating ultimate strain of confined concrete are proposed through regression analysis of experimental data. The calculated results show that the analytical results and the experimental value were close and have relatively less discretion. The formula is feasible in the mechanical analysis of confined concrete member confined with high-strength lateral stirrups.
