Theoretical Analysis and Countermeasures on Iced Galloping of Overhead Transmission Line

Abstract


Taking severe galloping accident in some lines in January, 2015 as an example, the conditions and processes of galloping’s occurrence and development belong to EHV and UHV lines was analyzed. And aiming at improving the theoretical cognitive level of galloping, and proposing to improve the power grid's ability against icing galloping, some suggestions were given on reasonable arrangement of anti-galloping fittings.
