Abstract

Reinforced concrete slabs are among the most common structural elements. In spite of the large number of slabs designed and built, the effect of their details on their behavior under impact loads are not always appreciated or properly taken into account. Based on finite element theory, the impact resistance performance of reinforced concrete slab was studied by utilizing LS-DYNA software. In the study, the material nonlinear and contact nonlinear were considered, and the parameterized modeling is established. The results show that the thicker the slab is, the larger the impact resistance of the slab is. The research of this paper provides some foundations and suggestions for the design of reinforced concrete slabs.
