Abstract

Based on the excellent performance of steel and polyurethane, a new replaceable composite link which polyurethane material is poured into steel box is formed, namely replaceable steel-polyurethane composite link. By software ABAQUS, a finite element model of a EBFs with a traditional replaceable link, a finite element model of a EBFs with replaceable box link and a finite element model of a EBFs with replaceable steel-polyurethane composite link were established. Under the hysteretic behavior, the differences of carrying capacity, stability, energy dissipation capacity, and other properties was compared. The results showed that, compared with traditional replaceable link, the replaceable steel-polyurethane composite link has seismic performance and energy dissipation capacity, and it is processing technology is simple, so it should be popularized in engineering practice.
