Review of Reducing Entrainment of High Ash Fine Slime to Concentrate in Flotation Process

Abstract

High concentrate ash caused by entrainment of high ash fine slime is a common technical problem in fine coal slime separation. This paper reviews the methods of reducing high ash fine slime entrainment in flotation process from the respects of flotation process, flotation reagent, flotation equipment and new methods, aims to provide direction and guidance for finding a suitable and effective measure to fundamentally reduce or even avoid the entrainment of high ash fine slime to concentrate in flotation process and achieving highest recovery of concentrate.
