Temporal and Spatial Changes of Hydrological Processes in the Jinsha River Basin, China
Abstract
The temporal and spatial variations of the observed river discharge and precipitation in the Jinsha River basin are analyzed in this study. Over the past several decades, the annual and monthly river discharges showed an increasing tendency. The annual precipitation in the upper region showed a clear increasing tendency, whereas the annual precipitation in whole basin did not show significantly changing trends. The periodic characteristics of the observed annual river discharge and the precipitation were very close.
