On the Economic Function of Social Science

Abstract

Natural science has written a lot about the promotion of economic development. However, social science has made less progress in promoting economic development. The reason is that the non-scientific component of social science often obscures its original scientific nature and even causes the reverse effect and restricts the economic development. But in the scientific nature, the overall attribute of social science, historical role and the contemporary mission, it should be as natural science, quantification, accurate, scientific, and through the STS study, make it become a strong driving force of economic development, thus can more effectively promote the development of social economy. Ever in human history have role in promoting the general performance and leap, for the current Chinese economy and the world economy, the STS study of social science, scientific and holistic development, should and can be guarantee of contemporary economic life and economic development.
