An Analysis of Application of Interact Function in Higher Education Internet System—A Case Study of Canvas Learning Management System

Abstract


Teacher-student interaction and student-student interaction are very significant in education. Especially with the epidemic moving education from offline to online around the world, the interactive features of learning management systems (LMS) should be taken more seriously. With the development of technology, there are more and more ways to enable interaction for both students and teachers. From the rise of MOOC to the current craze of live lectures, various educational websites have diversified the ways of communication between teachers and students. In this paper, the author will take Canvas as an example to analyze the application of American university learning management system (LMS) in interaction. In addition, through the analysis of the questionnaires of the students who use Canvas and the reference to other learning websites, we will be able to provide some comments and suggestions on the development of interactive functions of Canvas.
