Classroom Observation of the Perspective of Positive Classroom Affect—Take a Junior High School English Class as an Example
Abstract
Classroom is not only the place where cognitive activities take place, but also an important place for subject affect development. Positive English subject affect have a positive effect on the occurrence and maintenance of English learning activities. The development of positive English subject affect lies in the classroom, and positive classroom affect plays an important role in promoting the formation of students' positive subject affect. Therefore, this study takes positive classroom affect as an observation perspective, and uses the positive classroom affect observation scale to observe and record a junior high school English listening and speaking class from the four dimensions of communication, learning encouragement, task design and feedback, and student performance. From the results of the observation, the implementation of positive classroom affect in Mr. H’s classroom is very high, the classroom atmosphere is active, and the students' classroom learning efficiency is high.
