On the Organization and Management of Online Teaching in COVID-19 Outbreak—Take SISE for Example
Abstract
The novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak and spread in late 2019, so that schools at all levels had to change their teaching mode and turn from offline teaching to online teaching. The Ministry of education timely released the guiding opinions on the organization and management of online teaching in colleges and universities during the period of epidemic prevention and control. “Stop going to school but non-stop teaching and learningâ€. The Education Department of Guangdong Province proposed to postpone the start of school and required colleges and universities to do a good job in network teaching program. This paper summarizes some online teaching organization and management in Independent Colleges during the period of the outbreak of COVID-19, including the preparation of online teaching programs, teachers' participation in high-level and level training, the provision of necessary hardware support for online teaching guidance, the organization and work of students, the strengthening of communication and contact between teachers and students, and the quality monitoring of online teaching. The quality and effect of online teaching are discussed.
