Study on the Practice of Curriculum Ideology and Politics in College English Teaching

Abstract


Since general secretary Xi put forward the concept of Ideological and political education in 2016 at the National University Ideological and political conference, how to integrate the ideological and political courses into the teaching of various disciplines has become a problem that every university teacher should think about. As the largest public course in universities, College English is an important object of Ideological and political education. However, in the past College English teaching, due to various reasons, the implementation of Ideological and political education is very lacking. How to integrate ideological and political education into all aspects of College English teaching requires college English teachers to identify their ideas, study hard, and make efforts from teaching concepts, teaching methods, teaching contents and assessment. In addition to the efforts of teachers, the school should also make overall planning, strengthen resource management and system construction. This paper explores the path of integrating Ideological and political education into College English teaching from both teachers and schools, which has reference significance for the executors of College English education.
