The Multi-parameter on Line Monitoring of Hydraulic Oil Through a Tuning Fork Sensor
Abstract
Based on a tuning fork sensor, a multi-parameter online monitoring system for oil was constructed. The influence factors on the dielectric constant, viscosity and density of hydraulic oil were studied. The experimental results show that the variation of dielectric constant, viscosity and density is directly related to the temperature, and that these parameters can reflect the changes of the moisture content and acid value in the hydraulic oil. Thus, the multi-parameters of dielectric constant, viscosity and density can be applied to assess the quality of hydraulic oil and realize it’s on line monitoring.
