Magnetic Flux Leakage Model of a Rectangular Parallelepiped Ferro-Medium
Abstract
Based on the Biot-Savart law, a magnetic model on the metal magnetic memory (MMM) of a rectangular parallelepiped ferro-medium is proposed, by which inner magnetization can be determined in the magnetic flux leakage (MFL). The predicted curve of the model is identical with the MFL test of a metal specimen in simple tension. The model will play a role in the MFL technology in nondestructive test on metal specimens.
