Analysis for Dam Deformation Monitoring Data of a Hydropower Plant

Abstract


Based on prototype monitoring, deformation of a hydropower plant is analyzed in two aspects, horizontal displacement and vertical displacement. The results of analysis show that deformation monitoring quantity is mainly affected by temperature change, while change of water level does not have much effect on dam deformation. Small and large deformation distributes on both sides of dam and river bed dam respectively. In general, the small dam deformation makes the dam safety, but it should be noted that the right dam head has deformation tendency toward the river bed.
