Study on the Noise Prediction of Rolling Long Shaft System
Abstract
In order to build a noise prediction model of a rolling long shaft system, its structure was researched at first, and the vibration and noise of the system in operating condition was measured. At the same time, a mechanical model, a finite element model as well as a noise radiating model of the system were established. Based on the measured data and by means of the technology of load identification, some equivalent exciting load spectra were calculated at the relative positions, where the rolling wheels contact each other. Then the vibration velocity responses at each measuring point were calculated by compiling the MATLAB program. These vibration responses were used as the input of the noise radiating model to calculate the radiated noise of the system. By comparing with the experiment results the noise radiating model was modified. As inspected, the modified noise prediction model can accurately calculate the radiated noise of the rolling long shaft system.
