Study on Digitalization of Transponder Antenna Radiation Pattern Based on Image Processing

Abstract

By analyzing the antenna pattern of the transponder, a method on digitalization of transponder antenna radiation pattern based on image processing was proposed, which includes image preprocessing, coordinate system transformation, gridlines processing and digitalization. The results indicate that this method can transform the transponder antenna radiation pattern in image form into data in matrix form accurately. And gain variation of the original pattern image is completely described by the curve of antenna radiation pattern after digitalization. At the same time, the problem of inaccurate gain value caused by frequent oscillations of the original pattern image is avoided.
