TBRPS- Template-based Workflow Resource Planning Model

Abstract

workflow is a group of dependent tasks, and it has become a development trend to run its own workflow application in the paid cloud computing resource market. Resource planning is to plan the required resources from different cloud resource providers, different resource types and prices according to the user budget or the deadline of operation. Based on the test data of CloudCmp, this model compares different application types with resource providers according to different policies and establishes templates. With this template, a single task of workflow is firstly initialized, and then the entire workflow is optimized by using the critical path, so as to achieve the target of set running time limit at a small cost.
