Reliability of Variable Cross-Section Structural Component under Finite Probability Information
Abstract
In engineering design, variable cross-section structures often get widely used because of good mechanical properties. In addition, because of the complexity of the variable cross-section structure, leading to a relative lack of statistical data, and it is difficult to determine accurately the distribution of design parameters Therefore, The reliability of the variable cross-section structure analysis must be strict theoretical derivation and a reasonable quantitative research. To determine the position of the dangerous section, in this paper, we carried out reliability analysis for the structure of non-normal variable cross-section, reliability analysis model is established, research of variable cross-section structure reliability analysis method is proposed. Through a numerical example, we got the reliability indexes and reliability of the variable cross-section structure as and change rule along the variable section axis.
