Analysis on Status of Chinese Female R&D Groups and International Comparison under Big Data

Abstract

This paper focuses China Statistical Yearbook on Science and Technology as official big data source for Chinese female R&D personnel, based on classification and calculation of large data, it’s proportion of staff, department, geographical distribution and provincial development status are analyzed, and Chinese female R&D group characteristics are summarized. An average proportion of Chinese female R&D personnel is 24.9 percent, 59.4 percent of female R&D assembled in enterprises, mostly groups gathered in eastern regions. The number of Jiangsu, Guangdong, Beijing female R&D grow rapidly, ranking top three. Hainan and Anhui six-year increments in top two. Compared to 30 percent global level, China is in the middle position slightly downwards, and then Chinese female R&D group of the development trend is revealed.
