Research on the Boundary Influence of the Distribution Network Loss with Distributed Generation

Abstract

The influence of the distributed generation accessed to the distribution network has been paid close attention by the grid operating companies. It is one of the key focuses for new energy accession that how to configure the distributed power generator to reduce the adverse influence on the power grid. In this paper, from the perspective of the power distribution network loss, the calculation method of the network loss before and after the accession of the distributed power generator has been studied. The boundary conditions on the network have been analyzed and the rules of the influence have been obtained. Also suggestions to reduce the network loss have been proposed. And a power line in Guangxi was taken as an example to verify the research results.
