Abstract

In this paper, four kinds of novel chiral pyridinium ionic liquid were synthesized mainly with pyridine and L-proline, and the reaction process is simple and the products had good yield. Their structures were identified by mass spectra, nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy, and their purity was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography. Then their physical properties were studied comprehensively; the thermal stability, refractive index, density, viscosity and electrical conductivity of four kinds of chiral ionic liquids were investigated. The effects of different concentrations and temperature on main properties were also explored, and some classical equations were used to fit related data. According to all the obtained results, they have been successfully synthesized and shown broad application prospect.
