Fault Feature Extraction for Diesel Engine Based on EMD

Abstract


Diesel engine has been widely used in the modern industry, and the reliability of diesel engine is important for the system safety, which makes the fault feature extraction for diesel engine crucial. Taking the exhaust noise signal of diesel engine misfire failure as the research object, the exhaust noise signal of diesel engine is processed by EMD method, and the fault feature of diesel engine are extracted. Finally, the fault diagnosis of diesel engine is realized. The experimental results show that the EDM method can effectively detect the failure of diesel engine, which is of great significance for improving the safety and reliability of diesel engine.
