2018 2nd International Conference on Modeling, Simulation and Optimization Technologies and Applications (MSOTA 2018) has been held on November 25–26, 2018, in Xiamen, China with its aim to provide a high-level international forum for engineers and scientists to present their new advances and research results.

We hope that this volume will provide a broad overview of the latest achievements and results of Modeling, Simulation and Optimization Technologies and Applications, and will be a valuable reference source for further research. Also, we are looking forward to working with the paper contributors, conference participants, the Technical Program Committee, the DEStech publications next time to make a great difference!

DEStech will submit the technical science conference proceedings to EI, Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters Web of Science) and CNKI Scholar for worldwide online citation within one month after the Proceedings is completed. Please note that DEStech does not submit Proceedings of Social Science to EI since they will not be accepted for EI Compendex. However, DEStech will submit proceedings of Social Science to Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-SSH). We also caution our editors that Proceedings containing plagiarized material and Proceedings advertised that they will definitely be accepted by EI will be rejected by EI.
