The Piecewise Parabolic Method for the Parameters Estimation in an Ocean Pollutant Transport Adjoint Model
Abstract
In this paper, a higher-order and conservative Piecewise Parabolic interpolation is proposed to estimate key parameters of an ocean pollutant transport model. The Piecewise Parabolic interpolation quality is verified by groups of experiments. The results show that the Piecewise Parabolic Method (PPM) in independent point scheme (IPS) can realize better parameter estimation with fewer independent points.
