Lip Print Recognition Using Gabor and LBP Features

Abstract

Person identification is not an easy process. Most common techniques are used in this field, such as fingerprint recognition, iris recognition, face recognition and so on. We concentrate a method of a person identification which originates from the criminal and forensic practice, is lip print recognition. This paper proposed a framework for lip print recognition, Gabor features and LBP features were extracted from lip prints, then the combination of the both features were classified by SVM. Experiment results showed that the proposed framework is effective and accurately.
