Research on Speed Ratio Control Strategy of EMCVT

Abstract


Electronic-Mechanical Continuously Variable Transmission (EMCVT) is a new structure of metal Belt (Chain) type CVT. In this paper, to employ this transmission in a new power system, the control strategy of the speed ratio of the EMCVT is studied, and the target speed ratio tracking PID control algorithm is proposed, and the incomplete differential PID algorithm is used to solve the problem of system stability when the abrupt disturbance occurs. In the experimental results, it is shown that the PID speed ratio control strategy can basically guarantee the output speed in the EMCVT work on the target curve, and the control of speed ratio can ensure the follow of the input target speed or output one under the various simulative working conditions.
