The Development of Chinese People Study Abroad

Abstract

As the rapid development of Chinese economy and society, overseas study has been a growing trend in China. There is an increasing number of Chinese overseas students in the past decades and the development of overseas study shows different features in different periods. These different features result from different development stages of Chinese economy and government policy. In addition, economy and policy are two main factors that could influence the development of overseas study. Besides, as a coin has two sides, overseas study has advantages and also faces challenges. Thus, the advantages should be focused on and the challenges should be avoided. Overseas study of Chinese may face a bright future since its advantages overweigh disadvantages.
