Abstract

This paper focus on fluctuating pressure on a blocking gate. This blocking gate was setup in an ecological tunnel blow a gravity dam and finally failed. Considering the nearby air vent and jet flow behind the gate, we designed a physical model to collect the data of fluctuating pressure mainly caused by jet flow. Results show that there is not any other unusual phenomenon except the fluctuating pressure to average pressure ratio (about 15%) which is a little larger than other well-operating case.
