Abstract

In order to solve the inaccuracy and low efficiency of ship fuel oil metering, the ship’s fuel challenge, the cause of the fuel metering error and fuel consumption dynamic control problem is researched. This paper analyzes the working principle and characteristics of Micro Motion Coriolis Mass Flowmeter(CMF), which can independently measure the real-time density, direct mass flow and temperature of fuel oil, and that the measurement results are not affected by the physical parameters of the measured fuel oil, in particular, it has the intelligentized self-check function; CMF is designed to install on board and analyzed its application prospect and economic effectiveness. Application results show that CMF is high precision, stable and reliable, the supervisory control of ship fuel oil is efficient and manifest, to reduce ship’s operating costs, it’s payback period is less than 6 months, it is an important significance to marine energy efficiency and emission reduction.
