Simulation Analysis and Experiment for the Articulating Booms of the Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
Abstract
In order to analysize the dynamic characteristic of the articulating booms in the Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), the dynamic models of the articulating booms were made by software ADAMS and the dynamic operation performance was analyzed. Lastly, the field experiments were carried out and the results show that the dynamic operation performance of the articulating booms is stable in the condition of 300 kg load. The maximum loading capacity errors of the different oil cylinders between the test results and simulation calculation data are less than 10%.
