Abstract

The roadheader faults are highly concerned by machinery factories. Facing the variety of the roadheader faults, the complex relationships between fault sources, as well as the difficulties of fault diagnosis, this paper proposed a method to set up the dynamic fault tree of roadheader. Modular method is used to split the fault tree into dynamic module and static module. Specifically, the binary decision diagram (BDD) method is used in static analyze module, while the dynamic module is built up considering the logical relationship between different faults thoroughly. This method combines the benefits of both static module and dynamic module to figure out the formation of faults. It is valuable in engineering to give guidance in the reliability design of roadheaders.
