Synthesis, Characterization, and Microwave Dielectric Properties of MgTiNb2O8 Ceramics Produced Through the Solid State Reaction Method
Abstract
In the present work, the ixiolite-structure microwave dielectric ceramic MgTiNb2O8 was prepared by the solid state reaction method. The ceramic powders were calcined at 1050 °C for 2 h and then sintered at various temperatures. The ceramic have been investigated using the X-ray patterns diffraction, scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and network analyzer. Dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency of MgTiNb2O8 ceramics were studied depending on sintering temperatures. The excellent microwave properties of MgTiNb2O8 ceramic was found at 1300°C with r=44.36, Q· f =13,600 GHz, f =-41.7 ppm/°C.
