Structure and Magnetic Properties of Co-based 1:7 Compounds
Abstract
HfCo7-xMx (x=0,0.1,0.2,0.3; M=Si,Ti,Al,Zr) alloys have been prepared, and their phase structures and magnetic properties have been investigated using powder X-ray and magnetic measurement. The analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicates that the main phase in HfCo7-xMx (x=0,0.1,0.2,0.3; M=Si,Ti,Al,Zr) alloys is Hf2Co7 with space group of C2/m(12) and Z=3. The other phases in HfCo7-xAlx alloys are Hf2Co with space group of Fd-3m(277) and pure Co with space group of Fm-3m(225), respectively. These alloys show soft magnetic property.
