Macro-Economic Disparities Analysis Based on Robust Statistical Method

Abstract

Study on the regional disparities of macroeconomic development has an important effect on the national economy and society’s coordinated development. This paper constructs regional macroeconomic development level index system based on four aspects. Then use robust principal component method to analyze China’s 31 provinces macroeconomic disparities, and comparing with the traditional principal component analysis. The results show that, the results obtained by robust principal component analysis is more consistent with China’s actual situation; the level of macroeconomic development has made great progress, but regional differences is large and regional development is imbalance.
