Enhanced H∞ Norm Based Design of PD Fault Estimators

Abstract


An enhanced bounded real lemma design conditions for PD faults observer within framework of continuous-time linear MIMO systems is presented in the paper. The problem addressed is formulated as a generalized descriptor system approach, implying the asymptotic convergence both the state observer error as fault estimate error. Presented in the sense of the second Lyapunov method, a set of linear matrix inequalities is outlined to possess the asymptotic convergence properties of given estimation structure. The proposed design conditions are verified by simulations in the numerical illustrative example.
