The Research on the Current Situation of Contemporary Female College Students’ Employability and Path of Improvement

Abstract

With the acceleration of popularization of higher education in our country, the number of college graduates has been climbing steadily. Among them, the proportion of female college students is higher than that of males. Compared with male college students, female college students are faced with more severe employment situation because of their gender characteristics. In order to find a job successfully, female college students must improve their employability. This article analyzed the current situation of contemporary female college students’ employability by questionnaire investigation and interview method. The results show that female college students’ employability is very weak. Then, this article analyzed reasons and put forward the corresponding solutions to improve female college students’ employability from the aspects of female college students themselves, school, society, employing unit and family.
