A Comparative Study of Curriculum Reform for Higher Education Institutions Between China and Japan
Abstract
This paper studies the experience, characteristic and future development of curriculum reform in China and Japan by comparing the current status of the curriculum reform in the above two countries. Taking the curriculums of the same major of two famous universities in two countries as an example, we explore the similarities and differences of two universities in the aspects of curriculum policy, curriculum setting and curriculum content. Then, the merits and drawbacks of different curriculums in two universities are compared and analyzed. Finally, we propose some constructive opinions and suggestions for the reform of university curriculum in our country.
